PATV will air the “Reach Out America” forum series that was filmed on Saturday, April 29 in the Veatch House at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock (UUCSR).  The series consists of four programs: “We Persist: Women in Peace” Can we wage peace and protect vulnerable women and girls in the era of uncertainty and unrest?  Moderator: Shirley Romaine, Speaker: Cora Weiss, Nobel Prize nominee, on Mondays, June 12 and June 26 at 8pm; “We Persist: Women in Religion” Where do we stand and where should we be headed in a culturally complex world?  Moderator: Sybil Bank, Speakers: Shaireen Rasheed, LIU Professor and Natalie Fenimore, (UUCSR) Minister on Thursdays, June 15 and June 29 at 8pm; “We Persist: Women in Politics” Women took part in and even led political movements since the birth of our republic but proportional representation eludes us.  How can we get ourselves elected? Moderator: Patty Katz, Speakers: Liz Abzug, Activist/Producer/Politician and Marie Wilson, Feminist/Author/Advocate on Thursday, June 22 at 8pm.  All programs are introduced by Rita Hall, President, Reach Out America.
